Capmatinib is an oral med. It’s used to treat a type of lung cancer that’s spread and has a certain kind of gene mutation. The drug works by blocking a specific protein, which in turn stops cancer cells from growing.
The doses are either 150 mg or 200 mg. You take 400 mg two times a day, and there’s no need to follow a special diet. Each bottle has 60 pills.
It’s used to treat people with a more advanced stage of this lung cancer who have a certain kind of gene change in their tumors, especially the ones with a skip in the 14th part of the MET gene.
