Dabrafenib is used for treating melanoma and lung cancer that has a BRAF V600E/K mutation. It mainly focuses on the BRAF kinase. The drug is available in two strength options: 50 mg or 75 mg, with the recommended dose being 150 mg taken twice daily.
Make sure you take it on an empty stomach. It comes in bottles with 120 capsules. You take it twice a day, either 100 mg of the 50 mg capsule or 200 mg of the 75 mg capsule.
Take these capsules on an empty stomach too; that means you need to be at least an hour away from eating or two hours after you’ve had a meal. Swallow the capsule whole—no breaking or chewing allowed.
