Erdafitinib is a special kind of FGFR inhibitor. It’s made just for treating a type of bladder cancer called metastatic urothelial carcinoma, especially when there are FGFR2/3 changes. It works by stopping those FGFR signals in their tracks.
The drug comes in three strengths: 3 milligrams, 4 milligrams, and 5 milligrams, all in a film-coated tablet form. You usually take 8 milligrams of Erdafitinib a day, but you can go up to 9 milligrams if you need to. Each bottle has 56 tablets.
The different strengths and the option to go up to 9 milligrams means doctors can pick the right dose for each patient, based on how they’re doing and what works best for them.
