Gilteritinib is an FLT3 inhibitor. It’s used to treat AML that comes back or doesn’t respond to other treatments, especially if it has FLT3 mutations. It does its thing by blocking FLT3 kinase, which in turn slows down the growth of leukemia cells.
You take it as 40 mg film-coated tablets. The usual dose is 120 mg, taken by mouth every day. It comes in bottles with 90 tablets each.
