Ivosidenib is a drug that stops the IDH1 enzyme from working when there are IDH1 mutations in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It’s for people who’ve had their AML come back or who haven’t responded to treatment. It works by focusing on the bad IDH1 protein, which helps slow down cancer cell growth.
The pills are 250 mg each, but you take 500 mg every day. It’s taken by mouth. The medicine comes in bottles with 60 coated pills.
