Larotrectinib is made to target TRK proteins in solid tumors with NTRK gene fusions. It mainly focuses on TRKA, TRKB, and TRKC. It’s used to treat cancer that can’t be removed or has spread, and it works for both kids and adults with NTRK-fusion-positive cancers.
You can get this drug in capsules (25 mg or 100 mg) and a liquid form (20 mg/mL). For adults, they usually take 100 mg twice a day. For kids, the dose depends on how big they are.
