Mavacamten is a drug. It’s used for treating something called obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It works as a kind of inhibitor that affects the cardiac myosin.
This reduces the force of the heart’s contractions. You can get Mavacamten in capsules. They come in four doses: 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, and 15 mg.
The advice is to start with 5 mg once a day. You can change the amount if needed. Each Mavacamten bottle has 30 capsules in it.
