Osimertinib is a special type of treatment for a certain kind of lung cancer, called non-small cell lung cancer, that has specific EGFR mutations like T790M. The drug comes in pill form and you can get it in 40 mg or 80 mg doses. For people with NSCLC, the doc usually suggests taking 80 mg of the stuff each day, and it’s okay to take it with or without food.
You get the drug in bottles, each with 30 pills. It works by stopping an enzyme called EGFR, which helps cancer cells grow and live.
