This stuff, Tivozanib, it inhibits these VEGFR things. We use it to fight advanced kidney cancer, like RCC. It’s made to stop the growth of blood vessels in tumors, so the tumor can’t get more blood or grow as much.
They give you Tivozanib in two doses – 890 micrograms and a bigger 1.34 mg capsule thingy. For grown-ups, it’s usually 1.34 mg a day, but every 21 days they give you a week off. They do that 21-day treatment stuff every month, after 28 days in total.
You can take the pill with or without eats. It comes in a bottle that’s got 21 of ’em. You take these capsules each day for 28 days, then take a week’s break before you start on your next 21-day batch.
