Mavacamten is a drug for something called obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It’s a problem where the heart doesn’t contract as it should. It works by keeping the heart muscle stuff called myosin from doing its thing, which in turn makes the heart’s pumping weaker.
You can get Mavacamten in different sizes so it’s easier to take. They come in different strengths – 2.5, 5, 10, or 15 milligrams each in a gelatin shell. You usually start with 5 mg a day, just one time.
The dose might get changed if it works well or if they can handle it, based on what the person feels. Each bottle has 30 caps, which should last for a whole month since you take them every day.
