So, Capmatinib was made to focus on something called MET kinase, mainly to help with non-small cell lung cancer that’s spread to other parts and got these specific changes called MET exon 14 skipping mutations. The way it works is by keeping the MET pathway from turning on, and this pathway is sort of a tumor-growing activator. You can get Capmatinib in two pill strengths—either 150 milligrams or 200 milligrams—and these pills have that stuff that coats them to make them easier to swallow.
So, they usually suggest taking 400 milligrams of Capmatinib, once in the morning and once in the evening, and you can take it with or without food. Each time you need to take 400 mg, which is a tablet. They come in a bottle with 60 tablets to make sure you’ve got enough for your whole treatment.
