Afatinib is a medication that blocks two specific types of cancer growth, used for a certain kind of lung cancer in people with those specific gene changes. It works by stopping a cancer signal called EGFR. You can get Afatinib in three strengths: 20 mg, 30 mg, and the strongest, 40 mg, all in these coated tablets.
They usually recommend taking 40 mg of it every day, on an empty stomach, just once. It comes in bottles with 30 pills in each one.
