Olaparib is a type of PARP inhibitor. It’s used to treat ovarian, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers with BRCA mutations. It stops cancer cells from fixing their DNA.
You can get it in 100 mg or 150 mg tablets. You’re supposed to take 300 mg two times a day, with or without food. It usually comes in bottles with 60 tablets in each.
Olaparib is really good at hitting cancer cells with broken BRCA genes. It’s been proven to help people live longer without the cancer getting worse. It’s a big deal in cancer treatment plans for some kinds of cancer.
But you’ve got to keep an eye on the side effects, too.
