Selumetinib is an MEK inhibitor. It’s used to treat neurofibromatosis type 1, especially when you have those plexiform neurofibromas. It does its thing by stopping the MEK signaling pathway.
You can get it in 10 mg or 25 mg doses. The usual dose is 25 mg, taken twice a day, and it’s best to take it with food. Make sure to take the capsules on an empty stomach.
Each bottle has 60 capsules. That’s enough for a full month of treatment if you take it as recommended.
