Sorafenib is a type of kinase inhibitor. It goes after and blocks three specific kinases – VEGFR, PDGFR, and RAF. Doctors usually prescribe it for treating advanced RCC, HCC that can’t be operated on, and thyroid cancer that doesn’t get better after treatment with radioactive iodine.
The drug’s in 200 mg tablets. You should take 400 mg twice a day for a total of 800 mg. But, make sure it’s on an empty stomach.
