Venetoclax is used to treat two types of cancer — CLL and AML. It works by blocking BCL-2 protein. There are three different pill strengths for Venetoclax: ten, fifty, and one hundred milligrams.
You begin with a low pill and then gradually get up to taking one 400 milligram pill each day, ideally with your meals. It’s important to take each pill with some food since it helps your body absorb it better. Each container holds 120 tabs.
Venetoclax helps cancer cells to commit ‘cell suicide.’ It’s a big deal in treatment plans, especially since it targets those nasties in CLL and AML patients exactly where they live and breathe.
